How do you know Stacey?
...as a daughter?
...as a friend?
...as a co-worker?
...as a cousin?

However you know Stacey, you can agree that
she is a woman who is striving for the best
that her Heavenly Father has for her,
always putting a smile on our faces with her
thoughtfulness and resourcefulness, and for that
we think she's a SUPERSTAR!
...and this poem is dedicated to you, Stacey, from Keith & your friends!

My Beautiful Black Sister
She has done so much
for the world throughout the ages
and is the very back bone of our race
with out her we cannot
and will not survive
My Sister I place you on Pedestal
You are strong, loving and invincible
you are the bond that binds
the black family together
it is You the one who can
wipe away your children's tears
as well as your man's tears
yes we must admit it is you
and you are very
soothing for our souls.
You have done so much
done as our Mother sister
Daughters and Lovers .
You are our Cleopatras
our Harriet Tubmans
our Rosa Parks.
Thank you my beautiful sister
for all your contributions
not only to your race
but you have done much
to improve the world.
Please continue as you are
my beautiful sister
because we
would not want you any other way.
No other type of woman in this world
can compare to you.
You are our Wilma Rudolphs our
Coretta Scott Kings
our Betty Shabazzes.
It is you who are fighting hardest
to save the black man from extinction
It is you that is holding
dear and true through
our most troublesome time.
But you are holding dear and true to us
and that is one of the
biggest reasons we are still.
Be proud of what you are
because we are very proud of you
and we love you dearly my sister.
You are our Jane Pitmans
Marion Andersons
Maya Angelos our Mahalia Jacksons.
You are a true diamond.
I love honor and cherish you.
And may God bless you
